The Heiresses
| In early 2013, St Martin’s Press released a New Adult e-serial of mine, The Heiresses, which I am really, really excited about. It’s an historical series, where triplets, estranged since birth, are suddenly brought together and forced to compete for their inheritance in 1920s London.
So, what’s an e-serial? I’ll let the fabulous JJ from St Martin’s Press explain (you can find her equally fabulous blog at http://sjaejones.com/). ‘An e-serial is a series of digital-only discrete dramatic novella-length “episodes” that advance an overall “season” narrative arc through 4-6 installments, published at regular intervals at a low price. We are conceptualizing e-serials as a loose bridge between a full-length novel and a TV show. An e-serial episode is analogous to a one hour drama, one installment of a season of dramas.’ In other words, think Downton Abbey, but in serialized digital book form! Yay! Even better, a paperback and bundled e-book, with all the episodes combined, will also be available in May. While I was living in the UK, I was lucky enough to be close enough to London that I could pop on the train and be there to research the finer details of what I was writing in under an hour. It was such a bonus. On my last trip to London I treated myself to a retro Mini tour of the key sites in the book… |
